Spectral presents SPARTAN at the North Atlantic Test Workshop

Ahead of that year's full conference paper, Spectral presented SPARTAN, a spectral and information theoretic approach to partial scan, at the North Atlantic Test Workshop.

The presentation laid out the same approach later published in full at the International Test Conference that October: using spectral analysis and entropy together to choose scan flip-flops and test points.

It marks the earliest public record of the method that would later become Spectral's founding patent.
